bba Architects Habitat Build Day

Ed Twohey on Nov 07, 2019

On Saturday, October 26th, the bba team made our way to the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago, and worked on several building tasks on the new Habitat for Humanity sponsored homes being constructed for this community.

Our members built walls, set trusses, installed windows, built fences, and spread mulch. Together with teams from a few other organizations, we made a positive impact on the project progress.

The Habitat site managers are really good at organizing small groups to perform tasks efficiently. They have the work well coordinated, teach basic techniques, and enforce the very strict job safety rules which are important on any construction site.

With over 50 donors, we raised more that $11,000.00 to support the shared vision of Habitat for Humanity: a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

We look forward to making this an annual event, and raising our goal for next year, both in dollars raised and the number of team members participating.
