HISTORIC PRESERVATION & RESTORATION
Understanding historic buildings has been a lifelong passion for our team members. Restoring a historic building, yet bringing it into compliance with modern code standards, requires both a respect for historic techniques and the creativity to sensitively implement new ones. We have successfully struck this balance, and have received awards for our Historic Preservation work. Services particular to this task may include meetings with members of the landmarks commission at both the state and local level. Exploring tax credit opportunities for preservation, working with specialty craftsman to replicate historic features, and working with mechanical engineers to design low impact systems.
