A former artist colony was given a new life as a single family residence. The landmark structure was carefully restored and modified within the requirements of the landmark ordinance to preserve the heritage of the structure. The interior was completely reconstructed with references to the art deco era. Interior finishes of rosewood paneling, painted plaster cove molding and wood trims were selected to enhance the period image. An oval pattern stainless steel handrail outlines the stairwell opening and is repeated in an oval skylight with translucent lay-light.
